Some facts

In order to preserve the traits of the cultivar, it must be reproduced vegetatively: either by division (passive) or by cutting the rhizome or cutting the traps (active).

Common/typical dionaea = dionaea style Dionaea Sol. ex J.Ellis.

Cultivar = Term designating any cultivated plant species when it is the result of a natural or provoked mutation and when it did not exist in the natural state.

Because a dionea resulting from seedling or found in store has similar features to certain cultivars (example: fusion of the teeth), it does not have the value, nor the name of this cultivar (here, fused tooth). The plant is finally not a cultivar, but a typical dionea with certain traits, more or less interesting.
Let's summarize: a plant from a casual seller, from seeds, or from a store = no name, no value as a "cultivar" (since it is not one).

The genetic mixing in Dionaea Sol. ex J.Ellis is such that the offspring (seeds, which will give plants), will have very little chance to resemble the parents. Thus, a cross between 'Fused Tooth' and 'Fused Tooth', will not give a 'Fused Tooth'.

Differences "name" and 'name' : double quotation marks (") are used to designate an unregistered cultivar at the ICPS. Single quotation marks ('), on the other hand, denote an ICPS registered cultivar.
